Our veterinarians are highly trained and experienced in evaluating your pet’s health and comfort. There is no substitute for a hands-on approach in detecting any concerns that could endanger your pet or reduce their life span. Our comprehensive physical examination includes a tail to nose checkup. We will examine the eyes, ears, nose, dentition and oral health. We auscult the heart and lungs. We palpate the abdomen to look for any pain, to assess organ size and shape and check for any abnormal masses. We evaluate the skin and hair coat, noting any growths and checking for external parasites. We observe your pet’s mental status and screen for any neurologic conditions. We perform an orthopedic exam to detect arthritis and evaluate your pet’s mobility. We share our findings with you and discuss any action you may need to take to ensure your pet’s well-being.
