What Is Laser Therapy?

Laser Therapy is a surgery-free, drug-free, non-invasive treatment to help reduce pain, reduce inflammation, and speed healing. Our Class IV laser uses a beam of laser light to deeply penetrate tissue without damaging it. Laser light stimulates a biological response in the cells called “photo-bio-modulation”, a cascade of beneficial effects then takes place at the cellular level which accelerates blood flow, heals tissue, and reduces pain.

The laser light is delivered to your pet through a noninvasive handpiece to treat the affected areas. Your pet may feel a gentle and soothing warmth. Most treatments take a matter of minutes.

Acute conditions that would benefit from laser therapy include: wounds, allergies, infections, cuts/bites, inflammations, tooth extraction pain relief, sprains, strains, fractures and post surgical healing and pain relief for pets who have had surgery.

Chronic conditions that would benefit from laser therapy include: Degenerative joint disease (arthritis), Inflammatory bowel disease, Periodontal disease, lick granulomas, hip dysplasia, otitis (ear infections), Feline lower urinary tract disease/cystitis., and many more.

Some conditions will require only 1 laser therapy session while more severe cases often require a series of treatments to realize the full benefits of laser therapy.

Laser treatments are drug free, which is especially important with patients who may suffer side-effects from medications.

Any pet that is in pain or discomfort is a candidate for relief with a therapy laser.
